In the centre of the foreground of the image you can see the back of an upside down triangular sign with a flat grey pole, Its shadow just below it tells us that it was a sunny day when the photo was taken. Directly above the sign there is a fluffy cloud and its corners are perfectly lined up with the top two corners of the sign. The majority of the landscape is concrete with a small strip of grass down the right of the image. At the far right side of the picture we can see a road trailing off into the distance. The artist has used a vanishing point to create this effect. In the middle ground of the image there is much more going on. At the far left there is a small abandoned caravan with a huge busy tree looming over it. Just behind the tree there is a white wooden house on top of a small mound it has an thin short TV aerial sticking out from the top. In the background there is an even bushier tree that is engulfing a small whit car. Next to the car there is a dead tree with no leaves on it.
Space is represented in various ways in the picture quite unevenly. In the fore ground there is nothing on the right of the image a lot in the middle (the sign, grass and cloud) and the road on the far right. Space is also uneven in the middle ground as there is nothing in the middle and nothing on the right everything is on the left side of the image (the house tree and caravan.) Space is evenly represented in the background as the tree spreads across almost all of the image there is the car on the right and the dead tree on the left.
The parts of the image that are in focus vary in this image. The foreground is in focus and so are parts of the middle ground but the further away the object is from the camera the more out of focus the section is. The image has been cropped so the road has a vanishing point and so that you can clearly see the things in it instead of them being cut in half.
The thing that interests me the most would be the cloud above the sign for many reasons. For example I really like the way that the cloud lines up perfectly with the sign. I find it really interesting how the artist managed to do that as clouds are moving all the time so he would have caught it at the perfect time.
I would ask the artist about the cloud and whether or not it was deliberate because if it wasn't then it was a very fortunate mistake as I think it really improves the photo. I would also ask them what was on the front of the sign and why it was there because it looks like a strange place for a sign to be.
I don't think that it would be a very nice place to live for quite a few reasons. Firstly it is right next to a road which wouldn't be very nice and also everything is concrete. There is one small strip of grass and everything else is concrete and they are not nice living conditions.
I think that maybe they saw something that they liked and wanted to capture the moment so that they had something to remember it by. Maybe they also where trying to say how much wasted area there is in the world. that is unused.
I think that the angles used are really effective as they allow you to look at things from another angle. I think maybe it would be good in colour but I'm not too sure about that.
